What is music?
Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Its common elements are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm(and its associated concepts tempo, meter, articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of texture and timbre. In its most general form the activities describing music as an art form include the production of works of music, the criticism of music, the study of the history of music, and the aesthetic dissemination of music.
Music is vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.
Music is the written or printed signs representing vocal or instrumental sound.
Music is sounds that are sung by voices or played on musical instruments.
Music is written or printed symbols showing how music should be played or sung.
Music is the art or skill of creating or performing music.
Likewise, there are so many definitions that express music. In this autoethnography, I would like to find my own definition of music by introducing my pursue in music, artifacts related to music and interviewing close friends.
